Holland Township —
Editor's note: This story has been corrected to accurately reflect agencies participating in WEMET.

West Michigan Enforcement Team officials have confirmed that their officers launched an investigation of the Pure West Compassion Club, which included a search of the shop on Monday.

No arrests were made, according to WEMET’s section commander Lt. Mike Harvitt, but “information will be turned over to the prosecutor’s office to determine whether charges will be filed.”

Harvitt said a search warrant was obtained after WEMET received information of alleged illegal activity at the club, which provides medical marijuana to its customers. The Pure West Compassion Club Medical Marijuana Dispensary is at 840 N. Black River Drive.

WEMET is a drug enforcement task force comprised of five teams responsible for Ottawa, Allegan and Muskegon counties. Participating agencies include the Michigan State Police, Ottawa, Allegan and Muskegon county sheriffs’ offices, as well as municipal police departments for Holland, Muskegon, Norton Shores and Grand Haven.
